Waterloo Day

The Lion's Mound, 43 meter (141 feet) in height, commemorates the Battle Of Waterloo, south of Brussels (photo by RfA).

Waterloo Day is June 18, the date of the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. In the UK, it is remembered and celebrated each year by certain regiments of the British Army, in the same way that the Royal Navy celebrates Trafalgar Day (21 October).
