Goya - portrait of Antonia Zarate (1811)

'Portrait of the actress Antonia Zarate' by Francisco Goya (State Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg). Ca. 1811.

For an 1805 painting by Goya of the same lady see the March 9 post.

next episode: Königsberg

  1. You can't post enough Goya for me!

  2. Yes, Goya sure knew how to paint the donas. I saw a lot of his paintings when I was at the Prado Museum in Madrid.
