The Battle of Balaclava (1854)

In Crimea on 25 October 1854 The Battle of Balaclava took place. It includes the Charge of the Heavy Brigade, the Thin Red Line and the Charge of the Light Brigade.

    Rob, I love how you are able to enhance the historic photos of places with companion current images. It helps to "see" the old photo.

    Thanks! I love to compare old photos with 21st century photos made at the same location. To see what remains the same, which objects have managed to survive these turbulent times.
