The Amersfortian sculptor Ton Mooy, who I have mentioned in an
earlier post, also made several gargoyles. These are shown at the walls of the canals in the inner city.
A gargoyle is a carved stone grotesque with a spout designed to convey water.

ReplyDeleteLet's hope things get better and he can continue with the tradition. I'd hate to think they'd use boring old pipes instead of a piece of art.
