Those are some of the nicest looking walls you've posted so far!
ReplyDeleteThe name of this city itself
ReplyDelete南京 Nanjing = "Southern 南" + "Capital 京"
while
北京 Beijing = "Northern 北" + "Capital 京".
It is funny that the ideograms of the capital of Japan
東京 Tokyo (read Dongjing by the Chinese) = "Eastern 東" + "Capital 京"
Still there is not a "Western+Capital" hehehe!
Maybe Amsterdam will be the future Western Capital ...
ReplyDeleteAmsterdam it is already 阿姆斯特丹
ReplyDeleteLiterally
阿 = A
姆 = Farm
斯 = Sri Lanka
特 = Special
丹 = Red
Instead, in Japanese
Amsterdam is アムステルダム
ア = A
ム = Mu
ス = Su
テ = Te
ル = Ru
ダ = Da
ム = Mu
