Louise Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun (part II)

Louise Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun (1755–1842) painted several famous portraits of Marie-Antoinette. In 1835 she wrote her memoirs.

  2. Now I had seen this portrait before but thank you for pointing me towards her memoir, which I have been dipping into and to which I will return What an interesting but somewhat troubled life she seems to have had.
