Conwy City Walls


Conwy is a town on the north coast of Wales.


 The city walls were build in the 13th century by King Edward I, as part of the conquest of Wales by the English.

  1. I hadn't realised the walls enclosed the town quite so compactly. Thanks for posting the photos. I often come across vintage views of Conwy, I'll have to scan and post a few.

  2. Now that's a place I have visited, both as a young child and as an adult. For some reason it pops up regularly on pictorial calendars I buy!
