CDV (19th Century)

The carte de visite (CDV) was a type of small photograph the size of a visiting card.

  3. CDV's were once a vehicle for 18th century "porn." Mounted on card stock, advertisements were often printed on their reverse side.
    These are much sought after by many in the Civil War Reenactment crowd in the U.S..
